I'm learning more and more about God's timing and understanding it less and less, haha!
God allowed the Israelites to be oppressed by the new Pharaoh despite his covenant with them. God heard their cry and was sympathetic but didn't move on their behalf until Moses was at a mature age. Why? God's timing, I guess.
Exodus 3:5
It does not appear that Moses knew who God was before God appeared to him in the desert. Then God sends a man who was raised as an Egyptian to his Covenanted people to tell them about a God Moses never knew for himself? Indeed he uses the simple to confound the wise!
