*Exodus, 19, 20
*[[Exo 20:21]] NHEB*
The people stayed at a distance, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.
The knowledge of God is so important to the way we react to God's interactions with us. While the Israelites were so afraid, Moses boldly entered the thick darkness and all the loud noise on the mountain. He knew God. He had been in the mountain before. His call was in a burning bush! Moses knew a wonderful truth about God...... That though He covers Himself in fire or thick darkness, He is a gracious God. Like a hymn writer said ' behind a frowning Providence, He hides a smiling face!'
Moses knew that but the Israelites did not.
Oh, That I may know You! Amen
