Genesis 20 -22

19 - God opened Hagar's eyes and she saw a well in the desert. I wonder if it was there all along. Why could she not see it? Similarly, when Abraham was stopped from killing Isaac, God showed him a ram in the thicket. Was it also there all along and did God just open his eyes to it at the opportune moment?

Chapter 22- God tested Abraham- his most righteous, beloved FRIEND whom he had blessed because of his great faith. Yet still, he tested him!

How much more me, disobedient, lacking, of little faith?

My point is, we shouldn't feel put upon or abandoned when God tests us. Even though at the time it feels unfair or impossible- it's just a test! If he could test Abraham his buddy, he will test us! 

Maybe I should resolve to pass more tests this year instead of whining about the tests I'm faced with!
