*Interpreting events in our lives*
*Gen 43:17-18*
The man did as Joseph told him and took the men to Joseph’s house. 18 Now the men were frightened when they were taken to his house. They thought, “We were brought here because of the silver that was put back into our sacks the first time. He wants to attack us and overpower us and seize us as slaves and take our donkeys.”
Genesis 43:17-18 NIV
So much was happening to these men in these passages. Filled with Guilt and fear, their interpretation of events in their lives was opposite the reality.
This is our default mode as Adam's sinful and blind race. Even now, some remotely controlled events might be giving us high blood pressure when we should be rejoicing that such a thing is happening to us!!! Our interpretation of this event, as usual might be OPPOSITE what is really happening.
I hear some solutions to this very frequent dilemma in human experience...
Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Don't lean on your understanding Prov 3:6
Whenever am afraid, I will trust in You, King David said that.
For I know all things work together for good for those who love God...Paul
When will i agree Lord that i am not a good judge of people or situations? When Lord? I keep bringing my heart to You, the great God of the whole universe! My times are in your hands.
Use the good, the bad and ugly in my life and work out your eternal purpose in my life.
