Lev 15,16. Matt. 27:1-26
*[[Mat 27:3-5]] NHEB* Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that Jesus was condemned, felt remorse, and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? You see to it.” He threw down the pieces of silver in the sanctuary, and departed. He went away and hanged himself.
Compare with Peter's reaction.....
*[[Mat 26:75]] NHEB* Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” He went out and wept bitterly.
Two men failed Jesus. One went out and wept bitterly and was later restored back. The other felt remorse and went and hung himself!
Lord teach me to weep over sin.....and wait for your forgiveness and re- enstatement. Let no other person take my office!
*[[Mat 27:19]] NHEB* While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.”
Pilate's wife suffered much because of Jesus but in a dream?..... Why? Is she into the occult? Or is she just seeing things as they would happen? It's a puzzling thought. She did not see Jesus suffering but she suffered many things because of him in a dream....
Thank God for her boldness tho! She sent a message to her husband.
May I be so bold as to warn my leaders on issues that they may not have seen.....
