*Lev 23-25, Mark 1:1-45*
*[[Lev 23:43]] NHEB* that your generations may know that I made the sons of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.’”
Most of God's l laws are so that to go the next gen brains will serve and worship Him. If we disobey Him and do not do His word, it affects our children children.
*[[Lev 24:2]] NHEB* “Command the sons of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.
*[[Lev 24:7]] NHEB* You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to the LORD.
The continually burning lamp and the bread of memorial..... These are some indications of the need to pray without ceasing an be eat the word of God daily!
*[[Lev 24:20]] NHEB* fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has injured someone, so shall it be done to him.
Jesus spoke about this law and reversed it. No more revenge. No more eye for an eye but a turning off the other cheek!? In some laws, it's easier to be in the old testament!
*[[Lev 25:18]] NHEB* “‘Therefore you shall do my statutes, and keep my ordinances and do them; and you shall dwell in the land in safety.
Obedience is attached to dwelling safely in the land. Disobedience brings instability and all kinds of unrest in the nations.
Lev 25: 35 “‘If your brother has become poor, and his hand can’t support him among you; then you shall uphold him. As a stranger and a sojourner he shall live with you. 36 Take no interest from him or profit, but fear your God; that your brother may live among you.37 You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.
He cares for the poor in the land. We will do well to have an eye for the poor in the land too.
*[[Mar 1:8]] NHEB* I baptized you in water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”
Many times all we as servants of God can do is the ordinary human things... Baptise in water, ordinary water but God does the miraculous. He baptises in the Holy Spirit.
*[[Mar 1:17]] NHEB* And Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”
Again all we can do is fish fish! Jesus makes fishers of men! Do the ordinary and Jesus will take it up from there and do the impossible!
Usually God will ask you to do what you can do..... And believe Him to do the impossible. Your obedience is a pull of power into the impossible and supernatural.
Lord, keep me in obedience, doing what you want me to do.
