*Lev 26-27, Mk. 2*
*[[Mar 2:7]] NHEB* “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?” Because He has power on Earth to do all things!
*[[Mar 2:16]] NHEB* And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, said to his disciples, “Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?” They are the reason He came to the earth!
*[[Mar 2:18]] NHEB* And John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, and they came and asked him, “Why do the disciples of John and those of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?”
He is with them. He is the answer to all prayers physically present. They did not need to seek God!
*[[Mar 2:24]] NHEB* And the Pharisees said to him, “Look, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?” He is the Lord of the Sabbath.
Four whys in one chapter! Sometimes our whys show our lack of knowledge of God, Who He is and What he can do!!
*[[Lev 26:3]] NHEB* “‘If you walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;.
*[[Lev 26:4]] NHEB* then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
The old testament blessings are all conditional. We can not just pick the blessings. We must keep the laws too. Thanks be to God that Jesus put us under a new system that is not filled with so many does and don'ts.
*[[Lev 27:34]] NHEB* These are the commandments which the LORD commanded Moses for the sons of Israel on Mount Sinai.
Indeed Leviticus was full of laws.... Moral laws, medical laws, laws of Justice and equity, etc. God knowing men, put down laws to make them live in peace and prosperity.
