All sorts of offerings sacrifices for all kinds of sins. Intricate, laborious sacrifices. Thank You, Lord, for the Blood of Jesus, which took away the burden and cleanses whoever is willing - and remains there for us. May I never take it for granted.
Matthew 24
The unknown date of the Lord’s return used to fill me with trepidation when I was younger (teens and early 20s). The way I look at it today is this: if you have close relationship with someone and are maintaining that relationship, does it really matter when they stop by? Whether their visit is expected or unexpected, you’re thrilled that this person you love has finally returned. ‘Watching’ for me therefore means watching over, protecting, and nurturing my relationship with God. I’ll never know the day or the hour, but if I’m in Him, anyway, having that knowledge isn’t so critical. So, Lord, help me and work on me. Help me to always be in fellowship with You, searching myself, running to you when I’ve missed it, repenting, not wallowing in sin, growing, listening for Your voice, hearing You, and obeying completely. Amen!
