Mat 26, Lev 11-13
*[[Mat 26:26]] NHEB* As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
Bread became His body!
*[[Mat 26:27]] NHEB* He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it,
*28* for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.
The new wine became His blood!
That was the simple way He meant it when He told them to eat His flesh and drink His blood!!! Bread and wine.... And many turned away when He said that (John 6:53-56, 66) When Jesus says something, ask him to interpret it to you.
*[[Mat 26:42]] NHEB* Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cannot pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”
This is the difficult part of the theology of suffering... The fact that it is not every trial or suffering that God wants to save you from. Some sufferings are meant to accomplish eternal weights of Glory and therefore the will or desire of the Father is that you go through them! Next time when praying for a difficult issue, remember to add this clause to it!
*[[Mat 26:75]] NHEB* Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”
He went out and wept bitterly.That's what the awareness that I have sinned should have on me. He wept bitterly! A convicted heart.
Lord give me such a soft heart.....
*[[Lev 11:45]] NHEB* For I am the LORD who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
This is the reason for all those laws... Set yourself apart for Me because I am holy, no contamination.
