Mark 6

vs 47-50: The Message I get from here is to relax. Everything will be just fine. God hasn’t forgotten you. He expects you to know that he’s there. He ‘saw the disciples straining’ at night. Rather than rush out to stop the wind, he waited till dawn. Even then, ‘He was about to pass by them’, and would have, had they not cried out in fear. The word I take from hear is: ‘Take courage! ... Don’t be afraid.’ He knew everything would be alright, even if the disciples didn’t.

Numbers 20
There was no water to drink. Just remember that even when you have a promise from God and he’s taking you into the Promised Land, there will still be major challenges along the way.

Numbers 21:4: ‘But the people grew impatient on the way.’ On the way to the Promised Land, it’s possible to get impatient with the discomfort and length of time, and even the lack on your way there. Maintain an attitude of gratitude.

Numbers 22:12
‘You must not put a curse on those people because they are blessed.’ This made me realize I need to really understand what it means to be blessed. What does it really mean? Can’t wait to find out.

Numbers 23
Vs 20: ‘He has blessed and I cannot change it.’ God’s blessing is an indelible mark. That’s why even Joseph couldn’t change the blessing his father put on his sons. If God has blessed you, you are blessed.

vs 19-23: very encouraging. I claim this for myself and want to keep repeating these verses to myself.

Numbers 25
Lord, give me the zeal of Phinehas. When my flesh wants to cooperate with sin and walk it into my tent, give me the same indignation and approach to uprooting sin.

Matt 7:29
‘For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.’ Whoa!!! What is my reply when the odds are stacked against me??? Jesus saw her faith. What is my reply to my situation? I’d better be speaking words of faith and hope!
