A large crowd was following Jesus. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple. Coming to Jesus for salvation does not cost anything! But after you have given Him your life, your life is no longer your own! He will use you to save lives, heal the sick, comfort people around you or even bring salvation to a heathen tribe. How He uses you depends on how much of you He Has!
So compared to your earthly attachments, your life for God must be supreme. You must love Jesus enough to follow crazy ideas and anti-worldly acts. Your mother, father, relative might go against Jesus directives to you.
Before you start following Him, count the cost!!! Amen
