But when they arrived at the threshing floor of Nacon, the oxen stumbled, and Uzzah reached out his hand and steadied the Ark of God. Then the Lord ’s anger was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him dead because of this. So Uzzah died right there beside the Ark of God.

Seeing God's hand every in tragedies: May be Uzzah slipped and fell and since it was a hill, tumbled down and died. But David knew that God would have stopped it. It would have been a miracle if God was allowed to steady His Ark. And He would have done that! The ark is between the Cherubs. There was a lot of praise and worship going on there. Surely God and of course His host of Angels were in that company! What a fearful company. Uzzah.....I guess did not have this awareness! And he perished for lack of this awareness!
*THEN MICHAL REPEATED SAME FAULT*
But as the Ark of the Lord entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord , she was filled with contempt for him. When David returned home to bless his own family, Michal, the daughter of Saul, came out to meet him. She said in disgust, “How distinguished the king of Israel looked today, shamelessly exposing himself to the servant girls like any vulgar person might do!” So Michal, the daughter of Saul, remained childless throughout her entire life.

Another Uzzah kind of story! Michal never had children and this is because she despised David and his exhorbirant dance before all Israel. Again it is most likely that David never slept with her after this incident. As one of his many wives and concubines, he may never have called her into his presence. But here is the God factor in it. When she despised David, it was obvious she did not understand what was going on at all! They were dancing in the presence of God and the lack of that awareness caused her the love of David and the previledge of motherhood.
My take today.....WHEREVER I AM, IF GOD IS INVOLVED, THEN I MUST BE CAREFUL NOT TO ACT LIKE IT'S AN ORDINARY THING! UZZAH AND MICHAL ARE WARNINGS FOR US ALL!!!
