The Healing Pool

I love this story. I’ve written about it twice before and there’s just so much to glean from it. Here’s what spoke to me today:
Out of the ‘great number of disabled people,’ Jesus saw one. He learned he had been there for 38 years and he essentially asked him what the problem was.
I know He’s the Lord that sees me, and I just pray that the He would see me now in my multiple situations. Fish me out from the crowd, and grant healing.
Later, Jesus said to the man: ‘See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.’
So he hadn’t always been paralyzed, and the statement indicates that sin could lead to ill health or other misfortunes. That’s so deep and I need to marinate in this thought. Help me to rise above sin, Lord! Cleanse me with Your precious blood.
