What I’ve Learned Today
- God’s mercies are beyond comprehension. He is a merciful God. David understood this and asked to fall into His hands, rather then into the hands of men. And, indeed, God saw His people being punished and he couldn’t bear it.
- When we’re eager for God, He knows it. That’s why he stopped at the very spot where Zacchaeus was. He saw his eagerness from afar and decided to engage with him.
- Acknowledge what you have. Use what you’ve been given by God. God is expecting a return. ‘To everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away.’ This means that, in thinking we have nothing to use for God, we devalue what we do have. And everyone has something - which is why the one who supposedly has nothing will end up having what he DOES have, taken away.
